Dr. Nate Stender is a northeast Nebraska native having lived just outside Norfolk in the country side near Battle Creek. Dr. Stender attended Battle Creek public schools and graduated in 2000 from Battle Creek High School. Dr. Stender then earned his bachelor’s degree from Wayne State College in 2004. Dr. Stender attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, becoming the first doctor of his family in 2012.
While in high school, Dr. Stender had his first visit with a chiropractor. He was in a wrestling tournament in Howells, Nebraska when he injured his lower neck causing a lot of muscle deterioration which lead to the point he could not even lift a pop can up with his right arm. After a short exam and x-rays the chiropractor explained what was happening and began treatment. In less than a week, Dr. Stender could again lift a pop can up and regained strength.
While at Palmer, Dr. Stender had the opportunity to travel to Bequia for a month through the college clinic abroad program. He traveled with a group of 12 students and 2 doctors. They treated over 1200 people in the under served parts of the country. Most of the people they treated had never been seen by a doctor, let alone a chiropractor. Visiting beautiful Bequia was an experience that won't be forgotten.
Dr. Stender loved to be active and was involved in several sports throughout high school and college. He is an avid hunter, trapper, and fisherman and really enjoys the great outdoors. He loves to share hunting and fishing stories and hear hunting and fishing stories from his patients as well.
